Rapid Prototyping
These investigations explore the availabilities and limitations of various processes of ‘rapid‐prototyping’, and the materials associated with those processes, and have included the development, via CAD, of differing yet geometrically precise and instantly printable forms, as well as explorations of the acceptable limits of deformation that those forms could embrace. Centred around the development of specific components (staircases, balustrades, AC grilles), the specific technologies employed to date include Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), and CNC milling.
